Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Account Officer to manage the financial operations of our facilities in Victoria Island. This is a critical role for a professional who understands the unique intersection of financial accounting and facility management. You will be responsible for maintaining impeccable financial records, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards, and providing the analytical support necessary to manage facility budgets effectively. Requirements:

  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date ledgers of all income, expenses, and bank transactions.

  • Reporting & Statements: Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

  • Compliance: Ensure all financial practices strictly adhere to GAAP and relevant financial regulations.

  • Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile client accounts, vendor accounts, and bank statements on a regular basis.

  • Facility Budgeting: Track expenditures for facility operations and maintenance contracts, ensuring all spending remains aligned with approved budgets.

  • Statutory & Vendor Management: Manage timely payments for utilities, vendor invoices, and all statutory obligations.

  • Audit Support: Provide the necessary financial documentation to support both internal and external audits.

  • Planning: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and internal process documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role. Direct experience in the facilities management sector is required.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.

    • Strong working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices.

Salary

N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
