Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and detail-oriented Account Clerk to anchor the financial operations and investment tracking of a structured corporate entity. In a fast-paced finance department, success is defined by "Process Accuracy", the ability to harmonize high-volume payment documentation with the clinical precision required for operational accounting. This role is designed for a "Financial Steward" with 1–2 years of experience who can blend "Numerical Grit" with the "Organizational Agility" required to support a growing investment portfolio.
Requirements:
1. Transaction Stewardship & Payment Governance
Documentation Architecture: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of payment documentation, ensuring every voucher, invoice, and receipt is verified and captured with millimetric precision.
Operational Flow: Assist in daily financial processing, ensuring that operational expenses and investment-related transactions are handled without bottlenecks.
Accuracy Oversight: Conduct preliminary reviews of financial entries to identify and resolve numerical discrepancies before they reach the senior reporting stage.
2. Investment Tracking & Record Integrity
Portfolio Documentation: Assist in maintaining specialized records for investment activities, ensuring that all transaction histories are organized and audit-ready.
Data Sovereignty: Maintain a "Source of Truth" for the company’s financial files, ensuring that physical and digital records are secure, updated, and easily retrievable.
Clerical Precision: Update ledgers and sub-ledgers with high-fidelity data, supporting the finance team in tracking both internal operational costs and external investment performance.
3. Reporting Support & Team Synergy
Excel Orchestration: Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare basic financial schedules and data summaries that support the preparation of monthly management reports.
Audit Readiness: Assist in gathering documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring a transparent and stress-free compliance process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work synchronously with other departments to resolve payment queries and provide financial status updates as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of OND/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. (B.Sc holders are also encouraged to apply).
Experience: 1–2 years of robust experience in an accounting or clerical role within a corporate environment.
Technical Savvy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential for data management.
