Job Description:
Reddington Hospital is seeking a competent and dedicated Accident & Emergency Nurse to join our elite frontline team. In this role, you are the first line of defense in critical care, providing urgent nursing interventions to patients presenting with acute illnesses and life-threatening injuries.

Requirements:
1. Rapid Assessment & Triage Excellence
Clinical Prioritization: Perform rapid, accurate triage using standardized emergency scales to ensure the most critical patients receive immediate attention.
Continuous Monitoring: Maintain rigorous surveillance of vital signs and neurological status, identifying subtle changes in patient conditions before they escalate.
Immediate Intervention: Initiate life-saving protocols, including basic and advanced life support, while coordinating with the emergency medical team.
2. Acute Clinical Interventions & Support
Procedure Assistance: Assist emergency physicians during high-stakes procedures, including intubation, chest tube insertion, and advanced wound management.
Medication Governance: Administer emergency medications, IV fluids, and blood products with absolute accuracy and speed.
Resuscitation Leadership: Play a key role in the resuscitation team, ensuring equipment readiness and adherence to ACLS/PALS guidelines.
3. Patient Advocacy & Safety Governance
Infection Control: Maintain a sterile environment and strictly follow universal precautions to prevent cross-contamination in the trauma bay.
Clinical Documentation: Ensure real-time, accurate documentation of all nursing actions, medication administration, and patient responses.
Compassionate Communication: Provide clear, empathetic communication to distressed patients and their families, managing expectations in crisis situations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
Specialization: Post-basic qualification in Accident & Emergency, Critical Care, or Emergency Nursing is essential.
Experience: Minimum of [5] years of post-qualification experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
Licensing: Must possess a valid, current license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
