Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Web/Mobile Application Developer with 5–10 years of experience to lead complex digital projects in our Lagos office. This is a high-impact role for a developer who excels at the intersection of architecture, coding, and user-centric design.

You will not just be writing code; you will be responsible for the entire System Definition Model (SDM), from functional specifications to deployment. We need a versatile "polyglot" programmer—comfortable with PHP/MySQL but capable of working across Java, Python, and Ruby—who can mentor junior engineers and translate high-level business requests into robust, scalable automation.

Requirements:

1. End-to-End SDM & Technical Governance

• System Documentation: Own the creation of all technical documents, including Functional Specifications and Design Documents, ensuring clear blueprints for development.

• Full Life Cycle Development: Translate complex specs into production-ready software using standard SDLC techniques—covering design, coding, testing, and documentation.

• Automation Analysis: Evaluate automation requests to determine feasibility, cost-estimates, and project timelines, ensuring resources are aligned with business goals.

2. Multimodal Development & Integration

• Full-Stack Mastery: Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using PHP, Java, Python, and Perl, with a heavy focus on linking web front-ends to MySQL databases.

• MVC Framework Expertise: Leverage modern MVC architectures (Zend, Ruby on Rails) to build maintainable and modular codebases.

• UI/UX Engineering: Create responsive, high-performance interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (JQuery), and mobile-first design principles.

3. Systems Integration & Multi-Platform Support

• Cross-Platform Deployment: Manage and develop applications in a multi-platform environment involving Linux, macOS, and Windows.

• Version Control Leadership: Implement and oversee version control workflows using Git or Subversion to ensure code integrity and collaborative efficiency.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical liaison, interfacing with users to identify enhancement opportunities and resolve issues in existing systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 5–10 years of professional software development experience.

• OS Environment: Proven comfort working across Linux, Mac, and Windows.

• Tools: Expert knowledge of Git/Subversion and SDLC documentation.

Technical Competencies

• Backend: PHP (Zend), Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, and Perl.

• Frontend: JavaScript (JQuery/Prototype), CSS3 (Responsive), XML, and HTML5.

• Database: MySQL, with advanced skills in database linking and optimization.

• Quality: Strong knowledge of quality control, impact assessment, and unit testing.
