About Company:

Polo - Cico Farms and Estate is a diversified farm complex specializing in large-scale greenhouse production of assorted pepper varieties, alongside poultry and catfish farming for local and international markets.

Job Description:

Polo-Cico Farms is seeking a highly experienced and disciplined Warehouse Manager to take full responsibility for the management, control, and coordination of our warehouses and stores across all production units. In this senior operational role, you will be the custodian of our raw materials, packaging, spare parts, and finished goods. You will be tasked with implementing world-class inventory controls, ensuring zero stock-outs, and maintaining the highest standards of accountability and safety.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a deep background in agro-allied logistics who can manage complex inventory systems across multiple locations.

Requirements:

Warehouse & Stores Operations

  • Multi-Unit Oversight: Manage all central and unit-level warehouses across Polo-Cico Farms, ensuring seamless coordination between storage and production.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end process of receipt, inspection, documentation, and issuance of all materials.

  • Stock Rotation: Enforce strict adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) protocols to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.

  • Standards & Hygiene: Maintain rigorous cleanliness and safety standards, particularly for temperature-sensitive feed, agro-inputs, and food products.

Inventory Management & Control

  • Accountability: Maintain meticulous stock records using both manual stock cards and digital inventory software.

  • Auditing: Lead regular stock counts, including daily spot checks, weekly cycle counts, and comprehensive quarterly stock-takes.

  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and report all discrepancies, losses, or damages, providing root-cause analysis to management.

  • Optimization: Set and monitor reorder points (Minimum/Maximum levels) to prevent overstocking or production interruptions.

Documentation & Process Flow

  • Verification: Cross-check all incoming deliveries against Purchase Orders and Invoices; authorize Goods Received Notes (GRNs).

  • Authorized Issuance: Ensure that materials are issued strictly based on approved requisitions to prevent unauthorized stock movement.

  • Reporting: Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly movement reports and stock status updates for executive review.

Leadership & Safety

  • Team Management: Supervise storekeepers, assistants, and loaders; manage duty rosters and performance evaluations.

  • Loss Prevention: Implement fire prevention, pest control, and strict access-control measures to safeguard company assets.

  • Training: Mentor staff on best practices in warehousing, inventory accuracy, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:

    • Minimum of an HND or B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5–8 years of experience in warehouse or stores management.

    • Direct experience in an agro-allied, manufacturing, or FMCG environment is highly preferred.

    • Proven track record of managing multiple warehouse locations simultaneously.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong command of inventory control principles and documentation.

    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Leadership: Ability to manage and discipline a diverse team of warehouse staff.

    • Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills for investigating stock variances.

    • Integrity: Unwavering commitment to asset protection and accurate reporting.
