Job Description:

  • The Vendor Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end onboarding and management of vendors within LifeBank’s health logistics network.
  • This role ensures that all vendors are properly vetted, compliant, and operationally ready to support critical deliveries such as blood, oxygen, and medical supplies.
  • In addition, the role supports order fulfillment and last-mile delivery execution, ensuring that vendors and riders perform efficiently to meet urgent healthcare needs.
  • The specialist will maintain a strong vendor pipeline and ensure seamless coordination to guarantee that every order is fulfilled promptly and in line with LifeBank’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full vendor onboarding lifecycle from sourcing to activation across all operational locations.
  • Vet and onboard hospitals, suppliers, and logistics vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain vendor documentation (licenses, certifications, bank details, etc.).
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline of vendors to support uninterrupted service delivery, especially for critical and emergency orders.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure reliability, responsiveness, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Support order fulfillment operations by coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of medical products (e.g., blood, oxygen, consumables).
  • Ensure every order is fulfilled efficiently and in line with company policy, particularly for time-sensitive and life-saving deliveries.
  • Monitor and track rider activities to ensure pickups and deliveries are completed promptly and successfully.
  • Hold riders accountable for delivery timelines, communication, and task updates.
  • Escalate and resolve delivery delays, failed orders, or operational issues in real time.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vendors and transactions on internal systems (e.g., Basecamp or equivalent tools).
  • Ensure all tasks and updates related to vendors and deliveries are properly logged and visible for tracking and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Customer Care teams to ensure seamless vendor payments, issue resolution, and service delivery.
  • Support audits and reporting by providing complete and accurate vendor and operational data.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in vendor management, logistics, operations, or supply chain (healthcare experience is an advantage).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
  • Strong understanding of vendor compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in operational tools (e.g., Basecamp, Excel, or similar tracking systems).

Salary

N200,000 - N250,000 / month
