Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Vendor Manager to serve as the primary architect of our supplier ecosystem. Your mission is to identify, onboard, and manage a network of reliable partners that deliver quality goods and services at peak competitive value. This role is a strategic blend of high-stakes negotiation, rigorous contract administration, and proactive risk mitigation. You will act as the vital bridge between our internal operations and external partners, ensuring that every vendor relationship is governed by clear SLAs, compliant with global safety standards, and optimized for cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Onboarding
Vendor Identification: Proactively scout and evaluate potential suppliers based on reliability, technical capacity, and financial stability.
Onboarding Excellence: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all new partners are vetted against company policies and regulatory requirements.
Contract Architecture: Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing structures, and Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) that protect company interests while fostering mutual growth.
2. Performance & Relationship Management
KPI Governance: Monitor vendor performance using data-driven metrics to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
Relationship Stewardship: Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic vendors, resolving disputes promptly and conducting periodic performance reviews.
Inter-Departmental Liaison: Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and Projects to align vendor activities with internal procurement schedules and budget cycles.
3. Risk Mitigation & Financial Oversight
Contingency Planning: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop robust backup strategies to ensure operational continuity.
Compliance Auditing: Ensure all vendors adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and internal codes of conduct.
Financial Integrity: Validate invoices against confirmed deliveries to support the Finance team in ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Academic Standards
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
Systems Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and modern Vendor Management Systems (VMS) or ERP modules.
Experience & Mastery
Negotiation Prowess: Proven track record of securing cost optimizations through sophisticated negotiation and contract management.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret performance data and market pricing trends.
Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication abilities to manage diverse stakeholder expectations and navigate complex conflict resolutions.
