Job Description:
We are seeking a technically elite Tax & Systems Associate to drive disciplined financial data management and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance. In this role, you will be the primary guardian against regulatory friction, ensuring 100% reliable reporting and the uninterrupted availability of Tax Clearance Certificates (TCCs).
Operating in a remote, Pan-African environment, you will leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 to reconcile tax data with surgical precision. Your mission is to eliminate operational downtime caused by penalties or audits, supporting our goal of scaling efficiently across borders with zero regulatory risk. If you are a chartered professional who thrives on structured workflows and "clean" audits, this is your next challenge.
Requirements:
1. End-to-End Tax Compliance & TCC Governance
Comprehensive Filing: Manage the full lifecycle of VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension, NHF, and EMTL filings across all relevant states and entities.
TCC Acquisition: Proactively process and follow up on Tax Clearance Certificates, ensuring the company is always positioned for seamless business continuity.
Withholding Tax Mastery: Review vendor invoices for accurate WHT application and prepare detailed schedules for timely remittance.
2. Financial Systems & Data Reconciliation
Ledger Alignment: Reconcile all tax filings with General Ledger (GL) accounts and external revenue authority portals to ensure 100% data integrity.
System Optimization: Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to automate recurring tax processes, suggesting improvements to SOPs and internal controls.
Transfer Pricing Support: Assist in the preparation of Local Files, benchmarking data, and intercompany transaction logs to support cross-border transparency.
3. Audit Readiness & Strategic Research
Audit Defense: Compile supporting documentation and draft high-quality first responses to tax authority queries and audits.
Legislative Intelligence: Monitor and summarize changes in tax laws, treaties, and regulatory guidance across all covered African markets.
Cross-functional Liaison: Collaborate with Legal, Ops, and Finance teams to ensure tax-sensitive projects are aligned with current regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Economics.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in tax management with proven exposure to multi-entity or cross-border operations.
Certification: ACA, ACCA, or CITN (Mandatory).
Technical Stack: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite tools.
Core Competencies
Tax Proficiency: Deep understanding of VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, Pension, and NHF filing procedures.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to spot discrepancies in tax provisioning and apply complex tax laws to operational decisions.
Execution Discipline: Proven ability to maintain a "live" tax calendar and execute 100% on-time filings.
