Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and analytically elite Tax Supervisor to anchor the compliance engine of Ikeja Electric. In the specialized landscape of the energy sector where regulatory scrutiny is constant success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex business agreements with the clinical precision required for Multi-Tax Computation, Timely Remittance, and Regulatory Reconciliation. This role is designed for a "Tax Architect" with 2–5 years of progressive experience who can blend "Legislative Grit" (analyzing third-party agreements) with the "Technical Agility" required to manage tax provisions and cross-departmental accounting units.
Requirements:
1. Statutory Orchestration & Advisory Governance
Advisory Sovereignty: Analyze the tax aspects of all third-party agreements with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Risk Mitigation."
Compliance Architecture: Manage the full tax provision and filing process (Income Tax, Sales Tax, WHT, etc.), providing the "Structural Foundation" for regulatory standing.
Integrity Stewardship: Ensure the accurate deposit of all taxes collected and deducted at source, ensuring the "Source of Statutory Trust" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Accounting Logic
Reconciliation Sovereignty: Coordinate various accounting units to ensure the proper synchronization of taxes, acting as the primary "Source of Financial Accuracy."
Reporting Architecture: Prepare and dispatch MIS reports on the status of all tax-related compliance, providing the "Data Foundation" for executive oversight.
Regulatory Stewardship: Maintain adherence to the Quality Management System and Occupational Health & Safety regulations, maintaining the "Source of Operational Standard."
3. Operational Integrity & Performance Power
Audit Sovereignty: Lead the management of tax audits and disputes, acting as the primary "Source of Institutional Defense."
Policy Architecture: Implement revenue and profit/loss management strategies within the tax framework, providing the "Functional Foundation" for fiscal efficiency.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 2–5 years of specialized expertise to resolve complex tax computations in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Compliance Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related numerate disciplines.
Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in tax advisory and compliance.
Certification: Highly preferred certification from CITN, ICAN, or ACCA.
Domain Power: Deep understanding of Nigerian Tax Legislation (CIT, VAT, WHT, PITA).
