Job Description:

• The Structural Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and safety of construction projects.
• This role involves a mix of office-based design review and hands-on site supervision to ensure all works align with approved engineering standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Design, analyze, and review structural plans and engineering drawings to ensure structural stability and cost-efficiency.
• Site Supervision: Supervise ongoing construction works to ensure strict compliance with approved designs and project specifications.
• Technical Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed technical reports on structural progress and findings.
• Submittal Review: Review contractor submissions, including material specifications and method statements, to verify quality and suitability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all structural works comply with relevant building codes, national standards, and safety regulations.
• Problem Solving: Identify structural issues on-site and provide practical, immediate engineering solutions to avoid project delays.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a technical liaison between architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project harmony.
• Quality Control (QC): Monitor construction progress and implement rigorous quality control measures during all phases of project execution.
• HSE Management: Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements to ensure a zero-accident site environment.
• Project Handover: Provide comprehensive technical support during project execution and through the final handover phase.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in structural design, analysis, and site supervision
• Good knowledge of construction standards, drawings, and safety practices
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g. AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD)
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately
• Good report writing and documentation skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BSc or HND in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
