Job Description:

• We are seeking a Station General Manager to lead the operations of a vibrant radio station located on the Lagos Mainland.
• The ideal candidate will oversee station performance, lead cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive profitability and audience growth.
• This senior management role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and technical and editorial expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight & Team Leadership:

• Supervise and coordinate schedules and responsibilities across departments.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
• Create streamlined processes for delivery of premium content.
• Ensure collaboration between departments to boost operational efficiency.

Financial & Business Management:

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounts teams to prepare and manage budgets.
• Track financial performance, monitor expenses, and optimize operational costs.
• Ensure prompt collection of receivables and accurate reporting.

Revenue Growth & Advertising Strategy:

• Work closely with Sales and Advertising teams to grow the station’s market and wallet share.
• Build and manage a profitable portfolio of advertisers and content partners.

Technical & Facilities Management:

• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of all station equipment and assets.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant broadcasting laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Mass Communication, Statistics, or a related field.
• 7 - 9 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within the media or broadcasting industry.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in Media Management, Business Administration, or Project Management are an added advantage.

• Be proficient in IT tools (e.g., word processing, data analysis, project software).
• Understand media law, copyright, licensing, and compliance procedures.
• Becapable of handling pressure, making quick decisions, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Be knowledgeable in station operations, facilities management, and broadcast technologies.
