Job Description:

We are seeking a technically curious and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be the final gatekeeper for the quality and reliability of our SaaS platform. You won’t just be "checking boxes"—you will be deep-diving into our MongoDB backend, diagnosing frontend errors via DevTools, and proactively hunting for edge cases that others might miss.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of experience in web-based SaaS environments and feels equally comfortable writing API tests in Postman as they do querying NoSQL collections. Requirements:

1. Full-Stack Validation & Data Integrity

• Backend Mastery (MongoDB): Go beyond the UI to validate data states. You will write and execute queries in MongoDB Query Language (MQL) to ensure data is correctly stored and retrieved across our NoSQL infrastructure.

• API & Integration Testing: Verify the seamless communication between frontend and backend services, using tools like Postman to validate endpoints, payloads, and status codes.

• Edge Case Analysis: Architect "unhappy path" scenarios and boundary condition tests to ensure the platform remains resilient under unusual user workflows.

2. Test Engineering & Execution

• Structured Planning: Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans that map business requirements to technical test cases.

• Regression Governance: Maintain and execute rigorous regression suites to ensure that high-frequency deployments do not degrade existing platform stability.

• Frontend Diagnostics: Use Browser Developer Tools (Network and Console tabs) to identify, document, and report the root causes of UI and integration failures.

3. Performance & Collaboration

• Stability Testing: Conduct load and performance testing using tools like k6 or JMeter to ensure the SaaS application remains responsive during traffic spikes.

• Agile Defect Tracking: Document bugs with high precision (steps to reproduce, environment logs, and priority) within Jira or GitHub, collaborating directly with developers to verify fixes.

• Automation Roadmap: Contribute to the transition from manual to automated testing by exploring JavaScript-based frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: 4 – 5 years in Software QA, specifically for web-based SaaS platforms.

• SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.

Technical Competencies

• Database: Proficiency in MongoDB (Compass or Mongo Shell); ability to navigate document-based structures.

• Web Tools: Expert use of Browser DevTools; familiarity with Postman for API testing.

• Performance: Knowledge of JMeter, k6, or similar load-testing tools is a plus.

• Automation: Foundational knowledge of JavaScript for future automation scaling.
