Job Description:

This is a critical role for an accounting professional who understands that effective inventory management is fundamental to project success, cost control, and operational efficiency. If you have practical experience managing inventory on construction sites and can maintain accurate stock records while ensuring accountability for project materials, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Maintain accurate records of all construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables on site
• Receive, inspect, issue, and reconcile inventory in accordance with approved procedures
• Distinguish and properly account for consumable and reusable construction materials
• Prepare inventory reports, stock reconciliations, and material usage summaries
• Conduct periodic stock counts and investigate inventory variances
• Ensure proper documentation of all inventory movements using approved inventory control documents
• Work closely with project engineers, procurement, and finance to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Support management in minimizing material losses, wastage, and stock discrepancies

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Sc. Degree or HND in Accounting (Mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years of practical inventory management experience on Civil Engineering Construction Project Sites
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (This skill will be practically assessed)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Inventory Control Procedures
  • Stock Reconciliation
  • Inventory Documentation
• Construction Material Management
• Ability to identify and distinguish consumable and reusable materials within a construction environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Ability to resume work immediately upon successful completion of the recruitment process
