Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven Shift Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end shop floor operations of our aluminium extrusion production chain. In this role, you will manage the entire process from the initial melting of aluminium scrap to the final packaging of finished profiles. Your mission is to ensure that production targets are hit consistently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while minimizing downtime and material waste.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined technical leader with a strong command of lean manufacturing and the ability to maintain peak performance across a diverse production team.

Requirements:

Shop Floor Supervision & Execution

• Shift Leadership: Supervise all production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring a seamless flow across the melting, extrusion, and finishing lines.

• Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate manpower and oversee operator performance to maximize productivity.

• Output Monitoring: Monitor real-time production output against targets, taking immediate corrective actions to resolve bottlenecks or technical hitches.

• Handover Integrity: Maintain accurate shift reports and conduct detailed handover summaries to ensure operational continuity between shifts.

Operational Excellence & Quality

• Waste Reduction: Implement lean manufacturing practices and TPM methodologies to reduce material wastage and equipment downtime.

• Standard Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety, quality control, and housekeeping (5S) standards across the shop floor.

• SOP Training: Train and guide operators on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical quality requirements to ensure product consistency.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Internal Liaison: Coordinate closely with the Logistics, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure raw material availability and equipment reliability.

• Safety Advocacy: Serve as the primary enforcer of HSE protocols, ensuring all shift personnel adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: HND or B.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing shift leadership or shift supervisor role.

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of shop floor operations, particularly in metals, extrusion, or heavy manufacturing.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Methodologies: Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

• Leadership: Exceptional team coordination and discipline enforcement skills.

• Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production issues under pressure.
