Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly strategic, results-driven, and experienced Senior HR Executive to lead and strengthen our human capital operations within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong operational HR expertise combined with strategic workforce management capabilities to support business growth, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and employee performance across multiple functions.
  • This role requires a proactive HR professional with proven experience in workforce planning, organizational development, employee relations, policy governance, and performance optimization within a fast-paced engineering or Oil & Gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end HR operations, administration, and workforce governance across the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategic recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, and manpower planning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner closely with management and department heads to drive workforce optimization, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures, grievance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives in line with Nigerian Labour Law and company policies.
  • Drive the implementation, review, and enforcement of HR policies, SOPs, compliance frameworks, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate and manage the company’s performance management system including KPIs, appraisals, probation reviews, performance improvement plans, and staff development initiatives.
  • Support compensation administration, payroll coordination, leave management, and accurate employee records documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory labor regulations, internal governance policies, and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic HR insights through workforce analytics, HR metrics, management reports, and data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  • Support leadership in fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives to strengthen employee capability, retention, and overall organizational productivity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • 8–10 years progressive HR experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Engineering, EPC, or technical services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law, employee relations, workforce governance, and HR compliance practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing both strategic and operational HR functions in a structured organization.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership and manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and decision-making capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
  • CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI certification is an added advantage.
