Job Description:
We are seeking a highly energetic, customer-centric, and result-oriented Sales Support Officer to drive our smartphone financing operations across retail hubs in Lagos. In this role, you will be the face of our retail BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) product, working directly on-site to help customers purchase smartphones through structured micro-loans. This role is a perfect blend of retail customer service, digital onboarding, and field sales execution.
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, persuasive, and motivated by a target-driven commission structure where your hustle directly dictates your take-home pay.
Requirements:
Customer Onboarding & Loan Origination
App Walkthroughs: Guide walk-in retail customers step-by-step through our mobile app to apply for and secure smartphone loans.
KYC Verification: Perform real-time Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation checks, validating identity and income criteria on-site to minimize risk.
Repayment Setup: Assist approved users in configuring automated repayment plans and digital wallet mandates.
Retail Partner Activation
Merchant Engagement: Work hand-in-hand with phone vendors, store managers, and retail sales agents to ensure our BNPL option is actively recommended to buyers.
Product Education: Conduct quick product explainers for customers, demystifying interest rates, repayment cycles, and the benefits of credit scoring.
Portfolio Management & Field Operations
Repayment Tracking: Monitor the active account pipeline to ensure customers keep up with their weekly or monthly installments.
Collections & Remediations: Follow up proactively on early-stage payment defaults and handle real-time field issues or technical application blockers.
Daily Reporting: Compile and submit structured daily field reports capturing activation metrics, lead conversions, and merchant feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Qualification: OND, HND, or BSc in any discipline.
Experience: Prior experience in retail sales, customer support, phone marketing, or micro-credit operations is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies & Traits
Tech-Savvy: Highly comfortable navigating mobile apps, digital wallets, and cloud onboarding tools.
Communication: Eloquent and patient communicator capable of explaining financial terms clearly to a diverse retail demographic.
