Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, sales-driven Sales Officer to join a prominent FMCG company. In this role, you will be the primary driver of revenue growth, responsible for expanding our retail footprint and ensuring our products are the first choice for consumers. You will manage a designated territory, building strong relationships with distributors and retailers while utilizing data-driven market research to outpace competitors. Requirements:

1. Market Penetration & Business Development Prospecting: Actively identify and onboard new retail outlets and distributors to expand the brand's reach within your assigned territory. Product Advocacy: Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that highlight our unique value propositions to prospective clients. Competitor Intelligence: Conduct regular market research to monitor competitor pricing, shelf presence, and promotional activities. 2. Relationship Management & Revenue Growth Customer Retention: Build and maintain long-lasting partnerships with existing clients, ensuring consistent stock availability and brand loyalty. Negotiation: Use advanced sales techniques to close deals, manage volume discounts, and secure premium shelf positioning. CRM Integrity: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales orders, and feedback to inform regional sales strategies. 3. Territory Operations & Leadership Field Oversight: Travel within your designated area (Lekki, Ibadan, Osun, Ondo, or Ogun) to oversee sales activities and ensure brand standards are met. Team Guidance: Provide motivational support and leadership to field assistants or merchandisers to ensure collective regional targets are achieved. Reporting: Prepare periodic sales reports using MS Office to track performance against revenue targets.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Experience: At least one year of experience in sales; a strong desire to build a long-term career in the FMCG industry. Travel: Must be willing and able to travel extensively within the designated regional area. Core Competencies Sales Mastery: Sound knowledge of modern sales techniques and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to handle diverse client personalities. Technical Savvy: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/PowerPoint) for data tracking and presentations. Leadership: Strong ability to motivate others and lead by example in a target-driven environment.
