Job Description:

We are seeking an analytically rigorous, highly strategic, and inspiring Sales Manager to lead our commercial division and drive sustainable revenue generation. In this senior leadership role, you will take full operational accountability for expanding our market footprint, optimizing sales velocity, and exceeding corporate financial objectives.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between high-level market data analytics and hands-on, empathetic team development. You will be responsible for transforming raw sales targets into actionable territorial strategies, monitoring complex pipeline performance metrics, and building enduring relationships with tier-one clients—ensuring our brand remains a dominant, competitive force in the industry.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Growth & Market Architecture

  • Sales Strategy Engineering: Formulate, deploy, and iterate comprehensive B2B/B2C sales playbooks designed to capture new demographics, maximize client lifetime value, and outpace market competitors.

  • Pipeline Identification: Conduct deep-dive market research and competitor analyses to identify emerging consumer trends, untapped commercial niches, and high-yield vectors for geographical expansion.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with product development and marketing teams to align brand messaging, coordinate high-impact product launches, and optimize lead-to-conversion marketing funnels.

2. Elite Team Leadership & Performance Governance

  • Tactical Command: Lead, motivate, and manage a high-velocity sales force, instilling an aggressive ownership mindset and a transparent culture of accountability across the division.

  • Coaching & Talent Cultivation: Design and execute continuous training, interactive negotiation workshops, and structured mentorship programs to elevate the closing capabilities of sales representatives.

  • KPI Matrix Enforcement: Establish crystal-clear individual and team sales targets. Monitor vital daily metrics—including conversion percentages, deal pipelines, and client acquisition speeds—to proactively address performance gaps.

3. Key Account Management & Stakeholder Relations

  • Tier-1 Client Stewardship: Personally foster, nurture, and lock in long-term relationships with key accounts, corporate stakeholders, and primary industry partners.

  • High-Stakes Negotiation: Intervene directly to anchor large-scale commercial contracts, framework pricing structures, and complex institutional distribution agreements.

  • De-escalation Management: Act as the ultimate resolution authority for escalated customer complaints, ensuring service rectifications protect consumer retention indexes and uphold corporate integrity.

4. Data Hygiene, Analytics & Executive Reporting

  • Financial Data Modeling: Analyze daily sales revenue, volume forecasts, and regional cost-of-acquisition figures to make agile, data-backed commercial decisions.

  • CRM Integrity: Oversee and govern our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) architecture, ensuring all customer data, deal sizes, and client touchpoints are captured with absolute digital hygiene.

  • Executive Briefing: Compile and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance evaluations directly to executive management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Academic Foundation

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / BA) in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Relations, or a related quantitative or commercial discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience & Proven Track Record

  • Domain Longevity: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive, verifiable experience operating in a direct Sales Manager, Regional Sales Lead, or commercial team management capacity.

  • Closing Authority: A documented history of building high-performing field or inside sales divisions and successfully converting multi-million Naira corporate contract portfolios.

Technical Competencies & Skill Matrix

  • CRM Software Fluency: Advanced, hands-on command of enterprise CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or Microsoft Dynamics) to map sales pipelines and manage customer lifecycles.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional proficiency using advanced Microsoft Excel functions or data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) to run predictive sales forecasting and market analyses.

  • Interpersonal Mastery: Exceptional negotiation, persuasive communication, public presentation, and cross-cultural relationship-management capabilities.
