Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Route to Market Officer to join our team. You will assist in developing strategies to optimize trade channels and retail outlets. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure effective coverage of outlets, merchandising, and increasing the number of Dangote Cement handlers in the market. This role requires a strong understanding of trade marketing and channel management, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements:

• Commercial Planning & Activation:

  • Support regional inputs, operational planning, and the execution of trade activities.

  • Measure the effectiveness of trade activities within your coverage area.

  • Implement central and regional trade activities to close volume gaps.

  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to execute drivers that enhance sales and achieve volume targets.

  • Interface with Sales & Distribution regarding promotion execution.

• Customer Marketing:

  • Support the development and execution of brand growth drivers and channel/trade strategies tailored to regional peculiarities.

  • Identify key sales growth drivers (Regional Profiling to be developed, reported, and updated quarterly).

  • Develop and implement a periodic field accompaniment plan to generate trade insights, identify customer priorities, and find growth opportunities.

  • Work with Regional Sales and Distribution teams to implement the "Win At Retail" (WAR) strategy.

• Market Development:

  • Focus on the strategic positioning of our brand to ensure superior positioning against competition.

  • Lead specific market development projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 3 – 6 years of relevant work experience.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Management Sciences, Marketing, or Business Management.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in productivity suites (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
