Job Description:
- We are on an evolutionary journey where we are changing our story. We are looking to hire an experienced Rigs Operations Engineer to join our diverse team in our Company.
- In this role, you will be responsible to will support the planning, coordination, and execution of drilling operations to ensure safe, cost-efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
- The role involves providing technical expertise, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, optimizing drilling performance, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
As a Rigs Operations Engineer, you will be responsible to:
- Assist in planning and scheduling daily rig operations.
- Monitor and analyze drilling performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure proper allocation of equipment, materials, and personnel to meet operational requirements
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of drilling equipment and tools.
- Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and performance analysis of drilling operations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations and promote a strong safety culture on rigs and within the operations team.
- Support emergency response and contingency planning and co-ordinate with rig crew, service providers, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain effective communication between field teams and office management
- Participate in contractor performance evaluations and audits.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
- Track and analyze key operational KPIs (NPT, downtime, cost per well, safety records).
- Maintain accurate documentation of well operations, equipment use, and lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- IWCF (International Well Control Forum) Certification-Supervisor level; BOSIET / HUET
- Minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience in drilling operations, preferably with a drilling contractor.
- Strong knowledge of rig operations, and well construction.
- Proficient in MS Office and drilling software applications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to enforce HSE policies.
- Willingness to work offshore/onshore rotation and travel as required.
