We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Regional Banking Head (Sokoto) will be responsible for overseeing business operations, driving profitability, and ensuring sustainable growth across all branches in the region.
• The role requires a strategic leader with strong business acumen, excellent people management skills, and a deep understanding of microfinance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to branches within the region to achieve business growth and profitability targets.
• Oversee credit operations, loan portfolio quality, and deposit mobilization.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the bank’s market presence.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal risk management policies.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional service and results.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships and promote the bank’s brand in the region.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
• 5 –12 years’ progressive experience in banking or microfinance, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or regional management role.
• Proven record in driving business growth and achieving performance targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of the Sokoto market and Northern business environment.
