Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our real estate and construction team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing budgets, overseeing procurement processes, evaluating contractors’ quotations, and ensuring cost efficiency across all construction and real estate development projects.
• The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of construction costing, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while ensuring projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including procurement schedules.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations to ensure value for money.
• Track variations, valuations, and project progress payments.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to monitor project execution and cost implications.
• Prepare periodic financial and cost reports for management.
• Manage project cash flow and forecast construction expenditure
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders on project costing matters.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Assist in contract administration and dispute resolution where necessary.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the real estate or construction industry.
• Professional certification such as NIQS or QSRBN is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
