Job Description:
- The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing comprehensive cost management and quantity measurement services for construction projects at Mshel Construction.
- This includes preparing detailed cost estimates, valuations, and quantity calculations at all stages of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including material schedules, labor and equipment requirements, and subcontractor costs.
- Measure and quantify construction work completed for progress payments and final accounts.
- Analyze and validate contractor, subcontractor, and supplier claims.
- Participate in project cost control, forecasting, and reporting to the project management team.
- Identify risks and opportunities related to construction costs and provide recommendations.
- Assist with preparing tender documents, contract negotiations, and change orders.
- Maintain comprehensive project cost records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate cost management.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to the project team on cost-related matters.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the project team.
- Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
