Job Description:
- The QHSE Field Officer is responsible for ensuring safety and procedural compliance within the gantry, truck assessment areas and tank farms.
- They continuously monitor operational activities and drive to ensure no incident occurs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the QHSE team with planning, coordinating, and implementing of guidelines, and procedures to ensure that the Matrix Group's overall objectives are met.
- Support compliance with Matrix Energy Policies, standards, and procedures, local and International HSE regulations, in Matrix Terminals.
- Carry out specific HSE-MS implementation tasks.
- Support Matrix Terminal. Operations & Maintenance Managers on HSE issues, especially resulting from activities on site.
- Support in HSE training and orientation to all new employees.
- Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
- Seek to continuously improve HSE risk identification, assessment, and reduction in Matrix Terminals.
- Support Investigations and complete the process for the close-out of all Accident Investigation Reports
- Support HSE Performance Measurement from the QHSE team to ensure accuracy in data reporting and interpretation.
- Support the HSE assurance process.
- Support the build-up and delivery of HSE plans towards the realization of continuous improvement of HSE performance in Matrix Terminals.
- Ensure toolbox meetings are conducted for all PTW and routine jobs.
- Support the testing and maintenance of Matrix Terminal Emergency response procedures and plans.
- Support in delivering HSE training for Matrix Terminal staff and contractors to ensure practices are in full compliance with the safe systems of work at the site. These trainings include Site HSE Induction, PTW, Life Saving Rules, ISO 14001 Awareness, Confined Space, Unsafe Acts Auditing, Fire Fighting, Use of PPE, Waste Management & Safe Handling of Chemicals.
- Assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification certification will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
Qualifications and Skills:
- OND in Science / Engineering
- 1- 2 years of experience.
- HSE 1-3 certification
