It was established in 2005 and successfully partnered with Cegelec, France to establish a joint venture company, Prime Atlantic Cegelec Nigeria (PACE) in 2005. We have our training center located in Ogere.

Job Description:

1. Project Planning & Work Preparation

• Technical Scoping: Review maintenance notifications and Scope of Work (SOW) to define execution strategies.

• Work Pack Development: Develop comprehensive "Work Packs," including method statements, risk assessments (TRA/JSA), and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Constructability Reviews: Lead reviews to identify potential clashes, access constraints, or SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) risks in the live plant environment.

2. Execution & Technical Support

• Sub-contractor Management: Oversee specialist services (Scaffolding, Insulation, NDT, and Vendors) to ensure strict adherence to HSE and Quality standards.

• Management of Change (MoC): Lead the MoC process for any brownfield modifications or material substitutions, ensuring technical integrity is maintained.

• Shutdown Management: Take a lead role in planning and executing plant Turnarounds (TAR), focusing on schedule optimization and resource allocation.

3. Procurement & Commercial Control

• Supply Chain Stewardship: Identify Long-Lead Items (LLIs) and critical spares. Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) for vendor selection and track material delivery (expediting).

• Cost Management: Monitor project spend against budgets. Prepare Value of Work Done (VOWD) reports and manage timesheets, JCCs, and invoicing workflows.

4. HSE & Quality Assurance (QA/QC)

• Safety Leadership: Champion the "Golden Rules of Safety" and the Permit to Work (PTW) system.

• Quality Documentation: Ensure the progressive compilation of QC dossiers, including welding logs, pressure test certificates, and lifting gear certifications.

Requirements:

• Hazard Awareness: Deep understanding of HAZOP, SIMOPS, and dangerous goods handling.

• Commercial Acumen: Familiarity with Schedule of Rates (SOR) and Reimbursable contract models.

• Software: Advanced MS Excel skills for project tracking and cost reporting.

• Soft Skills: High adaptability to switch between desk-based engineering and site-based supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. Professional License (e.g., COREN/NSE) is preferred.

• Oil & Gas Background: 5–7 years in the industry, with at least 3 years specifically in a Brownfield/Maintenance environment on live plants.

• Technical Exposure: Proven hands-on experience with either Static Equipment, Rotating Equipment, or E&I systems.

• Shutdowns: Must have participated in at least one major plant Turnaround (TAR).
