Job Description:

We are a reputable Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company seeking an experienced and result-driven Project Engineer. This role is a strategic intersection of technical engineering, rigorous project management, and supply chain coordination. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex projects from technical design and procurement to onsite execution and close-out ensuring every deliverable meets the high safety and quality standards of the oil and gas industry.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with strong commercial awareness, capable of navigating multi-stakeholder environments to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements:

Technical Coordination & Project Execution

  • Lifecycle Management: Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities across assigned projects to ensure seamless delivery.

  • Scheduling: Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring proactive measures are taken to maintain the schedule.

  • Documentation: Prepare and review critical technical documents, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and detailed engineering drawings.

  • Quality & HSE: Conduct site inspections and progress reviews to ensure strict compliance with QA/QC processes and HSE industry regulations.

Procurement & Supply Chain Support

  • Vendor Management: Lead technical clarifications, bid evaluations, and the RFQ process for project-specific materials and equipment.

  • Logistics Oversight: Track equipment delivery timelines and material procurement to prevent onsite delays.

  • Cost Control: Assist in contract administration, change-order management, and the preparation of project cost updates for management review.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison between vendors, contractors, internal operations teams, and clients.

  • Reporting: Generate high-level project progress reports, technical presentations, and performance summaries for executive stakeholders.

  • Project Close-out: Ensure meticulous documentation and formal close-out procedures for completed projects, including final handovers and commissioning support.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering.

  • Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in project engineering within the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors.

  • Project Specifics: Proven experience in flow station upgrades, pipeline projects, fabrication, or heavy industrial installations is highly desirable.

Certifications & Technical Skills

  • Advantage: Membership or registration with COREN and NSE.

  • Advantage: Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.

  • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite.
