Job Description:
Programme Support
Contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of democracy and governance initiatives.
Assist in preparing programme materials such as reports, presentations, and training resources.
Track programme activities to ensure alignment with timelines and successful delivery of outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Support communication and engagement efforts with programme partners and key stakeholders.
Help build and sustain partnerships with government bodies, civil society organizations, and community groups.
Communication & Outreach
Assist in creating and distributing programme-related content, including newsletters, website updates, and social media posts.
Contribute to the design of outreach campaigns and promotional materials to enhance visibility of ElectHER’s initiatives.
Support the communications team in documenting and sharing programme updates.
Event Coordination
Help organize and manage events, workshops, and training sessions related to governance and democratic participation.
Coordinate logistics such as venue arrangements, participant enrollment, and liaising with facilitators and speakers.
Contribute to the development of event resources and maintain effective communication with attendees.
Research and Analysis
Conduct research on policy trends, best practices, and issues surrounding women’s political engagement and governance.
Analyze and compile relevant data to inform programme design and decision-making.
Prepare concise research briefs, summaries, and reports for both internal use and external dissemination.
Administrative Support
Offer administrative assistance to the programme team, including organizing meetings, drafting agendas, and recording minutes.
Maintain organized records of programme files, communications, and documentation.
Support the preparation of grant applications and reporting for funding purposes.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s governance landscape, civic actors, political systems, and regional dynamics.
- Experience supporting program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy efforts in the governance space.
Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Gender Studies, or a related discipline.
At least 4 years of experience in programme support, administration, or a similar role, preferably within the non-profit or development consulting sector.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant digital tools.
A strong commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong research, analytical, and report-writing abilities, with clear and persuasive communication skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Demonstrated strengths in project coordination, organizational planning, and time management.
