We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all farm production activities, ensuring optimal productivity, high-quality standards, and efficient use of farm resources.
• The ideal candidate will have strong agricultural knowledge across crop production, poultry management, and livestock operations, along with proven leadership and operational management experience.

Key Responsibilities
Farm Production Planning and Coordination:

• Develop and implement comprehensive production plans covering crop farming, poultry production, and livestock management.
• Plan and coordinate seasonal crop production activities, including land preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting.
• Oversee poultry operations, including broiler and/or layer management, feeding programs, vaccination schedules, and health monitoring.
• Supervise animal husbandry operations, ensuring proper feeding, housing, breeding, and overall animal welfare.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high quality and sustainability standards.

Crop Production Management:

• Monitor crop growth and soil health to ensure optimal yields.
• Implement sustainable farming practices including organic fertilization, integrated pest management, and soil conservation techniques.
• Coordinate irrigation schedules and ensure efficient water use.
• Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, and storage of farm produce.

Poultry and Livestock Management:

• Supervise poultry housing conditions, feeding schedules, and flock health management.
• Monitor livestock health, nutrition, breeding programs, and veterinary care where necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity protocols and disease prevention measures.
• Maintain accurate records of poultry production, egg output, livestock growth, and feed consumption.

Operational Oversight:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the farm to ensure smooth workflow across all production units.
• Supervise farm workers and ensure tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and servicing of farm machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Coordinate procurement and efficient use of farm inputs such as feed, seeds, fertilizers, and veterinary supplies.

Team Leadership and Workforce Management:

• Lead, supervise, and train farm workers and supervisors across crop, poultry, and livestock units.
• Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure staff compliance with farm policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a productive work environment.

Inventory and Resource Management:

• Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, livestock inventory, poultry stock, and crop yields.
• Monitor feed consumption, medication usage, and farm supply levels.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of harvested produce and animal products.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure that all farm products meet required quality and safety standards.
• Implement proper farm hygiene, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability practices.
• Maintain compliance with relevant agricultural regulations and industry standards.

Reporting and Strategic Planning:

• Prepare and submit regular operational reports on crop yields, poultry output, livestock performance, and overall farm productivity.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Support management in implementing strategies for farm expansion and production growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Management, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in managing mixed farming operations (crops, poultry, and livestock).
• Strong knowledge of crop production, poultry management, and livestock husbandry practices.
• Experience managing farm staff and coordinating large-scale agricultural operations.
• Good record-keeping, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Experience:

• Agricultural production planning: 5years (Required).
• Crop production and farm operations: 3 years (Required).
