Job Description:

  • The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure cost-effective purchasing, supplier reliability, and compliance with company policies.
  • This role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted availability of medical and non-medical supplies essential to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best value for money
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Coordinate with departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels
  • Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and regulatory standards
  • Support tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contract management
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience within the healthcare sector
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier contracts and service-level agreements
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary

N250,000 - N350,000 per month.
