Job Description:
Compovine Technologies Limited is seeking a meticulous and process-driven Procurement Officer to join our supply chain team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our sourcing operations, ensuring that high-tech goods and services are acquired efficiently, ethically, and in full compliance with company policy.
Beyond standard purchasing, you will play a critical role in our import and clearing pipeline. You will be responsible for navigating the complexities of SAP MM, managing international payment instruments like Letters of Credit (LC), and liaising with the Customs Department to ensure our hardware and components reach our facilities without delay. If you have a background in Engineering or Business and a mastery of ERP systems, we want you to help us optimize our technology supply chain.
Requirements:
1. SAP MM & Lifecycle Management
Digital Procurement: Execute the full "Procure-to-Pay" cycle within SAP MM, including the accurate creation of Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
Data Intelligence: Maintain organized digital records in SAP and generate real-time procurement dashboards and reports using ERP data and Advanced Excel.
Approval Governance: Coordinate the internal approval workflow and ensure the timely dispatch of POs to global and local vendors.
2. International Sourcing & Customs Logistics
Trade Documentation: Assist in the critical processing of Form M, Letters of Credit (LC), and direct international payments.
Customs Liaison: Take charge of the "Post-Order" phase by coordinating with customs clearing agents and ensuring all shipping documents are corrected and aligned with Nigerian Customs Department requirements.
Logistics Tracking: Monitor courier consignments, manage duty payments, and liaise with clearing teams to track delivery timelines from port to warehouse.
3. Vendor Relations & Comparative Analysis
Strategic Sourcing: Identify and onboard qualified technology suppliers, ensuring a diverse and reliable vendor base.
Market Benchmarking: Request and analyze quotations from multiple vendors, preparing detailed comparative analyses to ensure Compovine receives the best value in terms of cost and quality.
Supplier Coordination: Act as the primary bridge between the supplier and the customs department to rectify document errors and expedite shipments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. or HND in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Telecommunication Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience, with a heavy focus on the technology or engineering sector.
Technical Savvy: Hands-on familiarity with SAP ERP (MM Module) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Core Competencies
Negotiation Power: Ability to engage with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Nigerian customs clearing processes and international trade payment instruments.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in document processing to avoid costly delays at customs.
