Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially astute and highly organized Procurement Officer to anchor our supply chain operations in Lagos. In the high-velocity FMCG sector, success is defined by "Sourcing Agility", the ability to secure high-quality raw materials and operational supplies while navigating market fluctuations and logistics complexities. This role is designed for a "Strategic Buyer" with 2–4 years of experience who can blend "Numerical Rigor" with the "Negotiation Grit" required to optimize vendor contracts and maintain lean inventory levels.

Your mission is to ensure "Uninterrupted Production and Cost-Efficient Acquisition." You will be the primary link between our production needs and global/local suppliers: responsible for the full procurement lifecycle, from vendor evaluation to final delivery tracking. If you possess "Analytical Precision," proficiency in ERP systems, and a background in FMCG supply chains, we want you to drive our operational efficiency.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Governance

• Supplier Intelligence: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting rigorous assessments to ensure they meet our reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness benchmarks.

• Contract Orchestration: Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms with vendors to achieve maximum value without compromising material integrity.

• Relationship Stewardship: Manage ongoing supplier relationships, acting as the primary point of contact to resolve disputes and ensure long-term partnership health.

2. Procurement Operations & Inventory Synergy

• Purchase Order Lifecycle: Prepare and process purchase orders in strict accordance with company procurement policies, ensuring 100% documentation accuracy.

• Inventory Balancing: Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to monitor stock levels, utilizing data to trigger re-order points and avoid stock-outs or over-stocking.

• Delivery Logistics: Track shipments in real-time, ensuring timely arrival of goods and proactively resolving any supply chain bottlenecks or discrepancies.

3. Compliance & Data Integrity

• Procurement Analytics: Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation, preparing periodic reports to track spending trends and vendor performance.

• Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, quality standards, and relevant Nigerian regulatory frameworks.

• ERP Proficiency: Utilize procurement software and Microsoft Excel to automate workflows and enhance data visibility across the supply chain.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Procurement.

• Experience: 2–4 years of core procurement experience (Experience in the FMCG sector is a distinct advantage).

• Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
