Job Description:
Are you an engineer with a passion for the commercial side of energy? We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to bridge the gap between complex mechanical engineering and strategic business growth. Focused on rotating equipment—specifically gas and steam turbines and compressors—you will lead the charge in promoting service solutions, spare parts, and efficiency upgrades. Your mission is to "energize society" by extending the lifespan of critical infrastructure while delivering undeniable business value to our clients through reliability and energy conservation.
Requirements:
1. Technical Solution Selling & Strategy
Needs Assessment: Leverage your engineering background to analyze customer operations and suggest technical solutions for turbines and compressors.
Service Advocacy: Sell high-value maintenance, repair, and upgrade packages that focus on efficiency and energy conservation.
Strategic Planning: Develop medium to long-term sales strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with key accounts.
2. Commercial Execution & Relationship Management
Full-Cycle Sales: Manage the entire sales process—from lead generation and face-to-face meetings to high-stakes contract negotiations.
Bids & Proposals: Lead the development of technical sales bids, proposals, and presentations, including live product and service demonstrations.
Customer Lifecycle: Drive cross-selling, up-selling, and repeat business within existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new market entrants.
3. Market Intelligence & Business Value
Market Research: Conduct continuous competitor analysis to refine our market positioning and advertising campaigns.
Contract Management: Apply deep knowledge of cross-border transactions and contract law to ensure secure and profitable business deals.
Value Articulation: Translate technical "uptime" and "efficiency" metrics into clear financial ROI for client stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business (Engineering background preferred).
Tenure: 5+ years of relevant experience, specifically within the Rotating Equipment (Turbines/Compressors) sector in Oil, Gas, or Energy.
Sector Expertise: Proven track record in industrial sales, contract negotiation, and cross-border commercial transactions.
Core Competencies
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of gas/steam turbine architecture and the mechanics of rotating machinery.
Strategic Mindset: Skilled in setting SMART objectives and anticipating customer behavior to align with their long-term goals.
