Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the integrity, organization, and confidentiality of patient data. You will serve as the bridge between clinical departments, ensuring that doctors, nurses, and administrative staff have accurate and timely access to medical charts and documentation. Requirements:

  • Documentation Management: Distribute medical charts to the appropriate hospital departments and ensure all patient paperwork, reports, and charts are completed accurately and processed on time.

  • Record Maintenance: Systematically file patient medical records and information, strictly adhering to hospital procedures and data integrity standards.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain absolute patient confidentiality, ensuring all medical records are protected and handled in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.

  • Departmental Support: Provide the nursing department with necessary documents and forms to facilitate efficient patient care.

  • Administrative Duties: Perform general clerical tasks, including answering phones, responding to professional emails, and processing patient admission and discharge records.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Interested candidates should possess an OND or HND qualification.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical records or administrative role within a healthcare setting.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and hospital administration processes.

    • Proficiency in information management programs and MS Office Suite.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational abilities.

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with both clinical staff and patients.
