Job Description:
- Inspection and verification of goods on arrival while maintaining all paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.
- Organizing the receipt of material, receiving inspection and ensuring full conformity between material ordered and that which are supplied.
- Reporting any non-conformance to the Supply Chain Manager in respect of the material supplied in accordance with the Supply Chain Department’s Procedures.
- Receipt and Issuance of spare parts and consumables in Company Inventory System in accordance with the user’s manual and on instructions from SCM manager.
- Storing of goods as described in the Supply Chain Department Procedure.
- Coordinating shipment of materials and equipment from the base to the rig
- Maintaining all material records and files as described in the Supply Chain Department’s Procedures.
- Liaising and preparing with crane operators for the back-loading of drilling or Rig equipment on instructions from the SCM Manager.
- Organizing shipment of the material from the base to the rig in accordance with Management Control Procedures on instructions from SCM Manager.
- Ensuring that all orders given or received in writing or verbally are fully understood and adhered to.
- Performing physical count of the warehouse stock on a continuous cycle throughout the year ensuring that the complete stock is physically counted at least once in six months.
- Ensuring that all spare parts, spare equipment and consumables are at all times correctly stored, marked and properly maintained.
- Reporting Periodic Cycle Count results to SCM manager; reconciling inventory discrepancies with him.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within area of responsibility; ensuring the storeroom is tidy and locked while unattended.
- Participation in safety meetings and safety drills held at the base.
- Maintain all paperwork in an orderly and timely manner; carrying out tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred
- Minimum 7+ years experience as Material/ Logistics Coordinator for a reputable Drilling Contractor.
- A member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CITL)
- Certification in Supply Chain / Logistics (CIPS, ISM, APICS, or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Experience in a technical operation is desirable.
