Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Personnel to join our operations team in Mowe. In this role, you will be the tactical coordinator of our fleet, responsible for the seamless movement of goods and the real-time management of our drivers. You will bridge the gap between our delivery targets and the road, ensuring that every trip is documented, every delay is resolved, and every driver is working at peak efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined communicator who can remain calm under pressure and possesses a "boots-on-the-ground" understanding of the Nigerian transportation landscape.

Requirements:

Fleet Coordination & Dispatch

  • Route Planning: Strategically coordinate and assign drivers to delivery schedules and optimized routes to ensure maximum fuel efficiency and timely arrival.

  • Real-Time Monitoring: Actively monitor driver activities to ensure that pickups and deliveries are completed within the stipulated timeframes.

  • Driver Management: Maintain constant communication with the fleet to track progress, provide navigation support, and resolve on-road issues.

Operational Problem Solving

  • Incident Response: Handle and resolve urgent operational issues, including vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or delivery emergencies, to minimize downtime.

  • Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for drivers facing challenges at pickup or drop-off points, ensuring swift resolutions.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Logistics Records: Ensure the meticulous documentation of every trip, including waybills, fuel vouchers, and delivery manifests.

  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular, data-backed updates and reports to management regarding logistics activities, driver performance, and operational costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • At least 1 year of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation operations.

    • A practical understanding of the logistics challenges within the Ogun-Lagos corridor.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Basic knowledge of route planning and logistics software.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for trip tracking) is a significant advantage.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Organizational Mastery: Ability to manage multiple drivers and delivery schedules simultaneously without losing track of details.

    • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to effectively manage driver interactions and management reporting.

    • Resilience: The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies or breakdowns.
