Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Logistics Coordinator to oversee the movement of our bakery products and raw materials. In this role, you will be responsible for the optimal utilization and maintenance of the company’s fleet, ensuring that every dispatch and delivery aligns with our immediate operational goals and long-term strategic objectives. You will act as the central point of coordination between our production centers and various outlets, managing both internal drivers and external vendors to ensure efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a focus on cost optimization, fuel management, and strict regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Fleet & Dispatch Management

• Operational Flow: Coordinate the timely dispatch and arrival of bakery products and raw materials across all outlets to ensure zero stock-outs.

• Asset Planning: Manage and coordinate the utilization of all company vehicles, ensuring they are deployed effectively to meet daily delivery targets.

• Maintenance & Repair: Vet all quotes for vehicle repairs and fixings. Ensure appropriate weighing and pricing for maintenance tasks to maintain the fleet's health at a fair cost.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Artisan Supervision: Manage relationships and performance for all company artisans and technical service providers.

• Third-Party Logistics: Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and vehicles with a strategic focus on minimizing reliance on external fleets and reducing overall business costs.

• Government Relations: Assist in liaising with federal, state, and local government agencies to ensure all vehicles remain compliant with regulatory requirements.

Cost Control & Process Optimization

• Resource Management: Implement effective fuel management strategies and optimize logistics processes to significantly reduce operational costs.

• Value Alignment: Ensure all drivers and logistics representatives adhere to the company’s core values regarding the handling of work tools and performance of duties.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience in fleet coordination and route planning, preferably within the food or perishable goods industry.

  • Experience in managing mechanical vendors and technical service providers.

• Skills:

  • Organizational Prowess: Strong multitasking and scheduling abilities to handle a fast-paced dispatch environment.

  • Time Management: Elite ability to manage tight delivery windows and coordinate multiple routes simultaneously.

  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for reporting and vendor negotiation.

• Core Competencies:
