Job Description:

We are seeking a persistent and professional Loan Recovery Officer to join our financial operations team in Agidingbi. This role is essential for maintaining our company’s cash flow and ensuring that overdue accounts are settled fairly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a dedicated debtor list, initiating contact with customers, and utilizing your negotiation skills to secure consistent repayments.

This position is ideal for residents of the surrounding Lagos mainland areas who possess a firm yet professional demeanor and a results-driven mindset.

Requirements:

Arrears Management & Outreach

• Portfolio Review: Regularly review the company’s debtor list to identify priority accounts and track aging debts.

• Customer Contact: Reach out to customers via phone and other communication channels to inform them of their overdue bills and the implications of non-payment.

• Advisory: Act as a financial guide by advising customers on available payment options and suggesting the most effective methods for settling their debts.

Negotiation & Resolution

• Payment Structuring: Negotiate suitable and realistic payment plans for customers facing financial challenges, ensuring these agreements meet the company's recovery targets.

• Follow-up: Maintain a consistent follow-up schedule to ensure that promised payments are fulfilled and agreements are honored.

• Reporting: Keep accurate records of all customer interactions and provide updates to management on the status of recovered funds.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a First School Leaving Certificate (Primary School Leaving Certificate) coupled with relevant work experience.

• Experience: Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or a high-pressure sales/customer service environment is highly preferred.

• Geographic Preference: Candidates living within the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply for ease of commute:

  • Ogba, Ikeja, Agege, Ojodu, Abule-Egba, Iyana-Ipaja, Ketu, and Ojota.

• Core Competencies:
