Job Description:

A reputable Microfinance Bank in Ekiti State is seeking a versatile, high-impact professional to fill the dual role of Legal / Administrative Officer. Reporting directly to the Managing Director/CEO, you will serve as the guardian of the bank’s corporate governance, the navigator of its legal and regulatory compliance, and the architect of its internal HR and administrative workflows. This is a senior-level support role designed for an astute legal practitioner who is equally comfortable managing personnel and organizational operations.

Requirements:

  • Legal & Corporate Governance: Draft and review critical legal documentation (SLAs, loan securities, lease agreements). Advise management on credit recovery, litigation, and regulatory compliance with the CBN and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

  • Human Resource Management: Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and grievance resolution. Ensure all HR practices remain in strict compliance with the Nigerian Labour Act.

  • General Administration: Direct the daily operational health of the corporate office. Oversee procurement, facility maintenance, vendor contracts, and the supervision of support staff (security, drivers, cleaning).

  • Strategic Compliance: Act as the bank’s internal expert on regulatory frameworks, ensuring the business maintains its licenses and operates within industry standards at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Mandatory Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L).

    • Advantage: Professional certifications in HR (CIPM, SHRM) or administration.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years post-call experience, with at least 2 years in legal advisory, corporate governance, or HR—ideally within the financial services sector.
