Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Platform Manager to oversee the stability, security, and scalability of our digital ecosystem. You will be the technical lead responsible for our infrastructure, application performance, and digital roadmap. The ideal candidate is a hybrid professional who understands both backend/frontend development (API development) and core IT infrastructure management. If you are a hands-on leader who can bridge the gap between software development and systems administration, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

Infrastructure & Platform Management

• System Reliability: Ensure maximum uptime and performance for all business-critical digital platforms and infrastructure.

• Architecture Oversight: Manage servers, databases, cloud services, and network infrastructure, ensuring proper configuration and routine maintenance.

• System Updates: Coordinate software upgrades, patches, and feature enhancements to drive platform efficiency.

• Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement robust business continuity and data backup procedures.

Development & Integration

• API Development: Design, build, and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless system integrations and data flow.

• Full-Stack Competence: Support both frontend and backend requirements, ensuring our web and application platforms are optimized and functional.

Security & Compliance

• Cybersecurity: Develop and enforce IT security policies; monitor systems continuously for vulnerabilities and threats.

• Data Protection: Ensure all operations remain compliant with relevant cybersecurity and data protection regulations.

• User Management: Oversee access controls and system permissions to safeguard internal data.

Vendor & Support Management

• Technical Support: Supervise IT support services to ensure timely resolution of technical issues across the organization.

• Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with cloud providers, software vendors, and third-party IT service partners.

• Strategic Advisory: Evaluate new technology solutions and provide guidance to management to ensure IT investments align with business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a BA/BSc or HND in a relevant ICT field.

• Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, platform management, or systems administration.

• Technical Skills: * Proven experience with Frontend/Backend development and API development.

  • Experience managing cloud-based and enterprise platforms.

• Professional Certifications: Advantageous to hold certifications such as ITIL, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or language/framework-specific certifications (e.g., JAVA, REACT, C#, .NET).

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical discrepancies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on business-aligned technology solutions.
