Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to take full ownership of stock control for our dual-sector operations. This role is unique in its breadth, requiring the oversight of both high-turnover raw materials for a bakery and diverse retail SKUs for a cosmetics store. You will be the primary custodian of our assets, responsible for the entire lifecycle of stock—from procurement and real-time tracking to loss prevention and debt recovery.

The ideal candidate is a numerically gifted professional with a "zero-leakage" mindset, capable of reconciling complex sales data with physical inventory to ensure maximum profitability.

Requirements:

Stock Control & Management

• Real-Time Tracking: Conduct daily physical stock counts and maintain meticulous records of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging across both business units.

• Loss Prevention: Identify and investigate stock discrepancies, shrinkage, or wastage; implement rigorous controls to minimize financial loss.

• Demand Forecasting: Liaise with store supervisors and sales teams to forecast demand, preventing both overstocking and stockouts.

Sales Reconciliation & Reporting

• Daily Reconciliations: Reconcile daily sales figures with physical stock movements to identify variances immediately.

• Performance Reporting: Generate comprehensive weekly inventory and sales reports for management review, highlighting trends and operational efficiencies.

Procurement & Vendor Relations

• Supply Chain Management: Manage the procurement process by raising Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.

• Price Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing without compromising on material quality.

Financial Support & Debt Recovery

• Accounts Receivable: Monitor customer credit sales and maintain accurate debtor records.

• Payment Follow-up: Proactively follow up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize bad debt.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in inventory or stock control.

  • Preference: Previous experience in Retail, FMCG, or the Food & Beverage sector.

• Technical Skills:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other e-commerce or inventory management software.

• Core Competencies:

  • Numerical Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills for complex reconciliations.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to record-keeping and data entry.
