Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Internal Auditor with deep experience in restaurant operations to join our team in Lekki. Your primary mission is to protect our profitability by ensuring financial integrity and operational compliance across all transaction points. You will be the critical check-and-balance in our system, flagging irregularities, verifying stock-to-sales data, and ensuring that every void, waste entry, and transaction is fully documented and justified. If you have a sharp eye for spotting discrepancies and a background in restaurant financial control, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Daily Transaction Oversight: Review system-generated reports daily to identify and flag suspicious activities. Audit all voids, cancellations, and "bad" order transactions for policy compliance.

• Inventory & Sales Audit: Rigorously verify inventory and sales reports on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles to ensure perfect alignment between physical stock and system records.

• Waste & Loss Management: Audit all wastage, damaged, and bad-order reports, ensuring they are correctly documented, signed off, and reconciled against tracking records.

• Financial Reconciliation: Review sales returns to identify and resolve cash shortages or surpluses. Ensure all transfer sales are correctly banked and reconciled at the end of each day.

• Operational Compliance: Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures regarding order modifications. Run periodic system reports for "edit-down" transactions and investigate anomalies.

• Investigative Audits: Conduct special investigations into operational issues, particularly those surrounding order cancellations and financial discrepancies.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear audit trails by examining receipts, invoices, and ledgers; generate actionable reports for management to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Professional Background: Must have demonstrable experience in restaurant/hospitality internal auditing.

• Education: Relevant academic qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong command of point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.

  • Advanced analytical skills in financial record-keeping and data reconciliation.
