Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our Oil & Gas operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct risk-based internal audits across finance, operations, procurement, and supply chain functions.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Review operational processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct audits on projects, contracts, joint ventures, and capital expenditures.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings with practical recommendations to management.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Support fraud risk assessments, investigations, and internal control reviews.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required.
- Provide advisory support to management on risk mitigation and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years internal audit experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in audit tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary
