Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Internal Auditorto join our Oil & Gas operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct risk-based internal audits across finance, operations, procurement, and supply chain functions.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and risk management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Review operational processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct audits on projects, contracts, joint ventures, and capital expenditures.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings with practical recommendations to management.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Support fraud risk assessments, investigations, and internal control reviews.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Provide advisory support to management on risk mitigation and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in audit tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such asACA, ACCA, CIA, CISAor equivalent is required.
  • 5–7 years’ internal audit experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
