Job Description:
Are you passionate about safeguarding digital infrastructure and strengthening cybersecurity systems? We are looking for a detail-oriented Information System Auditor to assess, analyze, and fortify our bank's information security practices. In this role, you will act as a critical line of defense, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring our technology risk management framework is robust, compliant, and resilient against emerging threats.
The ideal candidate is a technically proficient auditor who thrives on driving compliance and implementing rigorous IT general controls within the highly regulated financial services industry.
Requirements:
Security Assessment & Vulnerability Management
Technical Audits: Assist in conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and comprehensive security audits across banking systems and networks.
Risk Identification: Identify process gaps and vulnerabilities, providing strategic recommendations for remedial actions and continuous improvements.
Threat Intelligence: Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and global best practices to proactively protect the bank’s assets.
IT Audit Execution & Compliance
Audit Lifecycle: Execute IT audits from planning to completion, preparing detailed audit reports that outline findings and actionable recommendations for management.
Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and ensure absolute compliance with IT security principles, industry standards, and Central Bank regulatory requirements.
IT General Controls (ITGC): Support the implementation and testing of IT general controls across all core banking applications and infrastructure.
Incident Response & Risk Monitoring
Collaboration: Partner with the Incident Response team to investigate security breaches, analyze protocol violations, and develop post-incident mitigation strategies.
Technology Risk: Conduct financial monitoring and technology risk assessments to evaluate the integrity and reliability of the bank's digital operations.
Policy Analysis: Assess and analyze the bank’s information security policies and practices to ensure they remain effective in a changing digital landscape.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) or equivalent in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3–6 years of cognate experience specifically within the banking or financial services industry.
Professional Certifications (Added Advantage)
Possession of one or more of the following is highly preferred:
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
CIBN (Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria) certification
Technical & Professional Skills
Auditing Mastery: Proven proficiency in vulnerability management, IT audit execution, and core security principles.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
Communication: Excellent report-writing and interpersonal abilities, with the skill to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
