Job Description:

We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Officer to support the effective delivery of HR operations at our Demsa facility. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our people operations, ensuring that core processes from recruitment and onboarding to payroll administration and performance management—are executed with precision and care. Requirements:

  • HR Operations & Records Management: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records and documentation.

  • Payroll & Statutory Administration: Provide essential support in payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.

  • Performance & Lifecycle Management: Support the coordination of performance appraisal cycles and manage employee lifecycle activities from induction to offboarding.

  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, fostering a healthy work environment and driving local engagement initiatives.

  • Reporting: Generate timely HR reports and provide administrative support to the broader management team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant HR experience in an operational capacity.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Solid working knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and labor relations.

    • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical reporting skills.

  • Preferences:

    • Professional HR certification (CIPM or equivalent) is a distinct advantage.

    • Candidates living in or familiar with the culture and professional landscape of Northern Nigeria will have a strong competitive advantage.
