Job Description:

We are seeking a competent and hands-on HR Manager with experience in the supermarket or retail sector to oversee daily HR operations. You will be responsible for managing workforce activities, ensuring compliance with Nigerian labor laws, and supporting business growth through effective people management.

Requirements:

  • Talent Management: Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and staff exit processes.

  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian Labor Law and internal company policies.

  • Operations: Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and staff attendance.

  • Employee Relations: Resolve grievances, handle disciplinary actions, and foster a positive workplace culture.

  • Performance & Development: Execute staff appraisals and training initiatives to drive productivity.

  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and coordinate payroll inputs (leave, overtime, deductions).

  • Strategic Support: Act as the primary HR partner for store managers and operational teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG environment.

  • Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Nigerian Labor Law and HR best practices.

  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

  • Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operations-driven setting.

  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Salary

N350,000 – N400,000 (Gross Monthly).
