Job Description:

We are seeking a disciplined and meticulous Hotel Storekeeper to serve as the custodian of our operational assets. In the hospitality industry, the store is the heart of the house—controlling everything from perishable food items to high-value linens and guest amenities.

Your mission is to ensure zero leakage, zero stock-outs, and 100% accuracy in inventory management. You will be responsible for the end-to-end supply cycle, from rigorous inspection of incoming deliveries to the strategic organization of temperature-controlled storage. If you have the "forensic" eye for detail required to manage complex inventory logs and a deep commitment to food hygiene standards, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. Receiving & Quality Assurance

  • Inbound Integrity: Serve as the first line of defense by verifying all incoming goods against Purchase Orders (PO) and Delivery Notes.

  • Technical Inspection: Audit all items for quality, quantity, and expiration dates, reporting discrepancies or damages to management and vendors immediately.

  • Financial Linkage: Prepare accurate Goods Received Notes (GRN) and transition invoices to the Accounts department for seamless payment processing.

2. Inventory Engineering & Storage Management

  • Zonal Organization: Maintain, organize, and secure specialized storage areas, including dry stores, freezers, and refrigerators, ensuring optimal space utilization.

  • FIFO Implementation: Strictly enforce the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to minimize waste and ensure the freshness of food and beverage stock.

  • Cyclic Audits: Lead daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with digital logs and avoid capital tie-up in excess inventory.

3. Internal Distribution & Hygiene

  • Departmental Issuance: Facilitate the smooth running of Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance by issuing supplies based strictly on authorized requisitions.

  • Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure all storage environments adhere to international health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

  • Facility Orderliness: Maintain a pristine, organized, and secure store environment to prevent theft, pests, or cross-contamination.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper specifically within a reputable Hotel.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Location: Candidates must reside in Yola or its environs. (Note: While the job field lists Lagos, the specific requirement emphasizes Yola residency).
