Job Description:
- The Head of Sales – Appliances will be responsible for driving nationwide sales strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion for the Appliances business.
- The role requires a commercially driven leader with strong experience in the FMCG/consumer electronics/appliance sector, capable of leading large sales teams and delivering aggressive growth targets.
- The ideal candidate should have relevant experience from leading appliance brands such as Scanfrost, Fouani, or Royal Electronics.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share
- Set and monitor sales targets across regions and channels
- Identify new business opportunities, channels, and market expansion strategies
Channel & Distribution Management:
- Strengthen and expand distribution networks across Nigeria
- Manage key distributors, retailers, and modern trade partners
- Ensure product availability and visibility across all regions
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop regional sales teams
- Drive performance culture through clear KPIs, tracking, and accountability
- Coach and mentor sales leaders to improve effectiveness and productivity
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities
- Provide strategic insights to guide pricing, promotions, and product positioning
Revenue & Profitability Management:
- Drive sales growth while ensuring profitability targets are met
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and ROI across channels
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment
- Provide regular sales reports and insights to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- 8 - 12 years sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in appliance/consumer electronics sales
- Strong experience in distribution and channel management across Nigeria
- Prior experience in companies such as Scanfrost, Fouani, Royal Electronics, or similar is highly preferred
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
