HEAD OF FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS (FP&A) AT IPNX NIGERIA LIMITED | FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS JOBS IN LAGOS

Victoria island, Lagos, Nigeria | Posted on 09/03/2026

About Company:

IpNX is one of Nigeria’s fastest growing Information and Communications Technology companies, serving a multitude of needs across enterprises, small businesses and residents with innovative, world-class services.

Our ability to identify, satisfy and exceed today’s market needs is a testament to over a decade of experience, our commitment, drive and passion realized through highly skilled and well seasoned professionals.

Job Description:

  • This role is for a senior finance leader who wants real influence.
  • If you thrive at the intersection of numbers, strategy, and executive decision-making, this is your opportunity to help shape the financial future of one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing fibre and telecom companies.
  • At ipNX, we are building one of Africa’s sharpest finance functions, and we’re looking for a world-class FP&A leader who can challenge assumptions, sharpen strategy, and act as a trusted commercial co-pilot to the CFO, CEO, and Executive Committee.

Your Mission

  • Own the end-to-end planning and performance engine of the business—and turn data into decisions that drive profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Within your first 12 months, success in this role means:
  • Executive leadership makes faster, better investment and pricing decisions
  • Forecasts are credible, dynamic, and deeply linked to operational reality
  • Cost and capital are actively optimized, not just tracked
  • FP&A becomes a true strategic partner, not a reporting function

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and scenario modelling
  • Monthly and quarterly performance deep-dives, with clear variance narratives and actionable insights
  • Executive-ready dashboards and profitability analysis by product, project, and customer segment
  • Cost optimization initiatives with measurable bottom-line impact
  • Capital allocation, pricing strategy, investment appraisals, and ROI tracking
  • Automation and continuous upgrade of the FP&A tech stack (Power BI, Anaplan, advanced ERP modules)
  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team that thinks like business owners, not spreadsheet operators

Requirements:

You Must Already Have:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN / ACA / ACCA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance
  • A proven track record from Banking, Investment Management, Big 4 Transaction Services, or high-growth Telecom / Tech
  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel mastery (you’re still hands-on when it matters)
  • Deep experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and modern BI tools
  • The ability to turn complex financial data into clear, board-level narratives
  • Strong influencing skills across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership

Strong Advantage if you have:

  • MBA or MSc in Finance, Strategy, or a related field
  • Direct telecom or infrastructure experience

This Role Is NOT for You If:

  • You prefer purely reporting or compliance-focused finance roles
  • You avoid challenging situations and persuading senior stakeholders with data-backed perspectives.
  • You’re not comfortable operating at the executive and board level.

Why This Role Matters

  • You won’t just explain numbers, you’ll shape decisions, influence where capital goes, and help define how ipNX scales profitably in a competitive telecom landscape.
  • Ready to Own the Financial Future of a Tier-1 Nigerian Tech Champion?.
