Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and commercially aggressive Head of Business Development – Aftersales to drive the strategic growth of our automobile aftersales division. In the modern automotive sector, sustainable profitability is defined by "Lifecycle Monetization", the ability to transition from one-off vehicle sales to a continuous revenue ecosystem of parts, specialized services, and fleet maintenance. This role is designed for a "Commercial Architect" with 10–15 years of experience who can blend "OEM-Standard Governance" with the "Entrepreneurial Grit" required to secure billion-naira corporate contracts.
Your mission is to ensure "Market Leadership through Service Innovation and Strategic Partnerships." You will lead the commercial charge: responsible for launching new revenue streams (extended warranties, service contracts), managing high-value fleet accounts, and maintaining a gross margin of 35–45%. If you possess "Data-Driven Strategic Vision," a background in Automotive Commercial Leadership, and a proven track record of scaling service revenues, we want you to anchor our aftersales ecosystem.
Requirements:
1. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Innovation
Growth Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive aftersales strategy that targets a 20–30% Year-on-Year (YoY) revenue increase.
Service Productization: Launch high-margin revenue streams including extended warranties, tiered service contracts, and mobile maintenance solutions.
Monetization Architecture: Drive the contribution of service revenue to at least 60% of total revenue, optimizing the balance between parts sales and labor charges.
2. Market Expansion & Key Account Governance
Fleet Sovereignty: Lead the acquisition and management of high-value corporate, government, and institutional fleet service contracts, targeting an annual contract value of ₦10 Billion.
Partnership Diplomacy: Build strategic alliances with insurers, logistics firms, and third-party providers to expand market coverage and brand visibility.
Channel Development: Establish new service locations and channel partnerships to ensure the company’s aftersales network remains the most accessible in the market.
3. Retention Excellence & Data Intelligence
Retention Engineering: Design and implement loyalty programs and service campaigns aimed at maintaining a customer retention rate of ≥70–80%.
Quality Advocacy: Collaborate with operations to reduce service turnaround time by 15% and achieve a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) of ≥85%.
Executive Dashboards: Utilize market intelligence and data analytics to guide pricing frameworks, inventory stocking levels, and strategic promotional decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (MBA or relevant professional certification is a significant advantage).
Experience: 10–15 years in automobile aftersales or commercial leadership, with a history of managing large-scale operations.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of OEM requirements, SLA negotiation, and aftersales performance metrics.
